Consultacad handles worldwide licensing rights for The Elephant and Macaw Banner franchise, an award-winning series published in English, Spanish, Portuguese and Chinese. This historical fantasy world, featuring over 200 characters and creatures, has spawned books, comics and a tabletop RPG.

The Elephant and Macaw Banner: The Overlords of Rio

The Overlords of Rio is a mix of interactive fiction and turn-based RPG, based on the award-winning Elephant and Macaw Banner universe. Imagine The Witcher in the jungles of colonial Brazil: mercenaries battling monsters inspired by the national folklore.

The combat system is based on the hugely successful tabletop RPG, already one of the most popular Brazilian RPGs of all time. The storyline is enormous and branching, the player will see only around 40% of the content on each playthrough.

The Elephant and Macaw Banner universe contains over 100 characters and 100 creatures. The books have been published in English, Spanish, Chinese and Portuguese, and have been nominated for a number of major awards, including the Nebula Award. The video game will be infused with that same level of quality, with a writing team formed by three of Brazil´s top multimedia authors.
