Tavern Tale Studio is a young company, opened in 2021 after being selected in a government funding program about inovation and entrepreneurship ("StartBSB"). It started in 2018 as a voluntary game development group, becoming known in the local game development ecossystem, having participated in 3 local game expositions(Brasília) and having it's cofounders invited to the local game developer's association official podcast. Our company philosophy is to provide fun, accessible and unforgettable experiences and stories to our players. We have a focus, but are not limited to, games with narrative, procedural generation and complex systems.

Speedrun Squid

Speedrun Squid is a fun side project that Tavern Tale expanded from a very successful game jam in which our team took part of. The game is a goofy 2D casual game for mobile in which the player controls a physics driven squid through a corridor of spikes and deadly sea animals, collecting fish and performing crazy stunts. The faster and the crazier, the better the score.

The Game, back in it's early stages of development, was played by Internet personality CDawgVA in a video who reached over a million views which, coupled with his great remarks on the game's potential, made for a great opportunity to turn the game into a proper project. Speedrun Squid is currently in its final stage of development, scheduled to launch in May.

Silent Depths

Silent Depths is a roguelike, sandbox strategy game, with horror and survival elements. Inspired by retrofuturistic and horror fiction, the game takes place in an apocalyptic underwater world where all of Earth's landmasses were swallowed by the sea, and what remains of humanity lives now aboard gigantic submarines named "Arks", scavenging the submerged wastelands and fighting for their lives against strange, reality-defying creatures that seem to be out of one's worst nightmares. The project development has recently started and it's still in an early stage, with its basic mechanics are being developed and several artistic concepts in the making.
